Our Founder | Karen Young has been a key player in the beauty industry for decades, both as a corporate executive and an entrepreneur. After a successful career holding VP and executive titles in marketing and product development at L’Oréal and Estée Lauder, Young founded her global beauty marketing business, The Young Group, in 1999. Her passion for developing innovative products and effective marketing strategies continues to make The Young Group an invaluable resource for beauty entrepreneurs (and established brands) who want to stand out in a highly competitive industry.
In addition to shaping the future of beauty, Young is inspiring the next generation of beauty executives by teaching at the SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology. There, she has been an adjunct professor to master’s-level students in the Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing and Management department since 2001.
Young has a second office in Paris and travels internationally, giving her insight into trend analysis and access to industry contacts around the world. She is frequently asked to share her expertise at conferences, expos, and other beauty events as a keynote speaker.
